Summary of Responsibilities: Bring your positive energy to ATC! We're looking for an Asset Manager who will develop and implement lifecycle strategies for assigned substation assets, with a primary focus on circuit breakers, circuit switchers, disconnect switches, motor operators, and related monitoring and substation infrastructure. You'll take a long-range view of these assets and help guide maintenance, renewal, sparing, and investment decisions that balance safety, reliability, asset health, risk, and cost. The position will also provide backup Asset Management coverage for transmission line assets as needed.

Essential Responsibilities: What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement asset management and maintenance methodologies for assigned assets.
  • Monitor, analyze, track, and trend asset condition and performance; establish repair-versus-replace criteria and support risk-based decisions.
  • Create multi-year O&M and capital work plans, budgets, renewal strategies, maintenance protocols, and sparing recommendations.
  • Steward asset renewal investments by coordinating priorities and implementation with Asset Maintenance and Construction.
  • Provide asset-owner input into design standards, equipment specifications, and construction practices to promote safe, operable, and maintainable designs.
  • Support system restoration, incident response, and backup transmission line Asset Management coverage as needed.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience with transmission, substation, utility, maintenance, engineering, or comparable asset-intensive systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technical information and data to make clear recommendations related to safety, reliability, asset health, and risk.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and planning skills, with the ability to work across technical and business functions.
  • Experience with high-voltage switching equipment, condition-based maintenance, lifecycle planning, project or portfolio management, or asset data and analytics is preferred.
