Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Technology Intern to join the Asset Management Technology Data Enablement team in Boston for a 10-week summer internship. You will gain hands-on experience with Ameriprise tools, develop code, and learn the software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with interns and leadership, present your成果 to the technology leadership team, and explore opportunities to improve processes while gaining exposure to a global financial organization.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computing with graduation in 2027/2028.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Define business requirements.
  • Develop, document, test, and modify new or existing code.

As a Technology Intern, you are assigned to a specific Technology team for the 10-week summer internship. Technology internship teams and responsibilities vary each year.For the 2027 summer internship program, we are seeking one intern to join the Asset Management Technology Data Enablement team in our Columbia Threadneedle Investments team in our Boston office.How you’ll spend your time…As a Technology intern, you will gain hands-on experience to Ameriprise tools, applications, and technologies while contributing to solutions that support the team’s goals and priorities. During the summer, you’ll connect with other Technology interns and LDPs on a regular basis to foster community and build your professional network. At the end of your internship, you will present an overview of your internship and accomplishments to our Technology leadership team.As an intern, responsibilities vary depending on assigned team and may include:Define business requirementsDevelop, document, test, and modify new or existing codeDevelop working knowledge of Ameriprise systems, processes, data, and vendor toolsLearn and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the software development life cycleLearn new programming languagesIdentify opportunities for process improvement or automationParticipate in Agile team ceremonies Required Qualifications:Current Junior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, or related technical field.Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028Interested in gaining broad experience in TechnologyProven organization skills and ability to manage time effectivelyAbility to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with othersProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteIf you also had this, it would be great:High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethicsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsDisplays a positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn in a corporate environmentPrior classroom, project, or work experience with software development/programming/codingVisa SponsorshipApplicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).In-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business.
