Job Title: Asset Management, Senior Advisor – Water (US)
GHD Advisory seeks an experienced Asset Management professional to lead municipal water and wastewater asset management practices, set strategy, win work, and manage multi‑disciplinary teams delivering ISO 55000‑aligned programs. The role includes client leadership, practice building, and business development while ensuring resilient, cost‑effective asset management solutions.
Hybrid Work Model
Work is hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office three days a week. The position can be based in most U.S. locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagement and account strategy for city, county, and regional utilities, shaping service roadmaps, risk registers, and lifecycle costing.
- Direct asset management programs across the lifecycle—asset data, condition/RUL modeling, O&M optimization, CIP prioritization, resilience & climate adaptation, and performance management.
- Oversee CMMS/EAM delivery (IBM Maximo, Infor, SAP, Cityworks), guiding requirements, configuration, data governance, and change management.
- Grow and mentor a high‑performing team in IAM/GFMAM competencies and ISO‑aligned delivery methods; develop playbooks for risk‑based decision making.
- Own pipeline creation and capture—lead solutioning, scoping, pricing, proposal development, and engagement with industry forums such as AWWA, WEF, and IAM.
- Deliver consulting services, including data analysis, community of practice management, project content development, workshop facilitation, and project/program design.
- Maintain personal capability through continuous professional development, external accreditations, and industry engagement.
- Manage a portfolio of major projects following overall project management strategy.
- Build and maintain key client and customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial/Systems Engineering (Master’s in engineering, asset management, data analytics, or public administration a plus).
- Professional Engineer licensure required.
- 10+ years in municipal water/wastewater asset management consulting with progressive responsibility leading programs and teams.
- Proven success implementing risk/LoS/lifecycle frameworks and translating results into prioritized capital & O&M plans.
- Hands‑on leadership with CMMS/EAM (Maximo, Infor, SAP PM, Cityworks) and integration with GIS/SCADA.
- Experience in RCM, maintenance planning/scheduling, and reliability analytics.
- Comfortable facilitating councils/boards and cross‑functional utility teams.
- Willingness to travel 20‑40% as projects require.

Salary range: $147,000–$300,000 based on experience and location.
