Job summary

Thurston County Public Works Department in Olympia, WA is seeking an Asset Management Specialist 2. The role focuses on creating and managing GIS data, using maintenance history to produce reports for management, and configuring solutions with field staff to support the Asset Management Program.

Responsibilities include organizing GIS data, performing complex GIS calculations, creating print maps and dashboards, preparing reports, and QAQC of data to support capital and maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, geography, business, finance, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with infrastructure assets and GIS is desirable.
• Ability to interpret GIS data and create user-friendly documentation.

Responsibilities

• Organize, analyze, and interpret GIS data.
• Create print maps, web maps, and dashboards to user specifications.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and data visualization products.
• QAQC of GIS and tabular data for Public Works divisions.
• Configure AMIS and GIS to established standards.
• Collaborate across departments to achieve Asset Management goals.
