CGS is seeking an Asset Investigator to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency in Scranton, PA. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in fraud investigations while supporting a federal agency.

Job Duties

• Assist AUSAs by planning and conducting asset investigations to recover assets to satisfy debts imposed in cases handled by the USAO, including assets for restitution to the United States and private victims.
• Perform ancillary asset investigation-related services in direct support of financial litigation, such as using electronic databases to identify assets that may be recovered to satisfy debts, and preparing periodic reports on progress for use by the USAO and Executive Office for United States Attorneys management staff.
• Contact and coordinate with other government officials and private citizens as required.
• Prepare reports of findings for attorney review to establish enforcement action to collect debts owed to the United States.

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Minimum two years of experience in a legal environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.
