American Century Investments in New York City seeks an Asset-Backed Securities Trader/Analyst to identify opportunities in ABS markets, execute trades with best execution, and surveil portfolios for risk and performance. The role reports to the VP of Global Fixed Income and operates in a hybrid NYC office environment.
The candidate will synthesize market data, present ideas to teams and clients, and collaborate with sell‑side counterparties to drive investment outcomes.
The Asset-Backed Securities Trader/Analyst is responsible for identifying and sourcing attractive investment opportunities for client portfolios, executing trades with best execution, and conducting ongoing portfolio and market surveillance. This role covers both new issue and secondary ABS markets and requires deep fundamental and relative value analysis to generate trade ideas, manage risk, and drive performance. The position reports to the VP, Senior Portfolio Manager, Global Fixed Income and will be based out of the New York City, NY office. This hybrid position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

For NewYork and California based candidates, the salary range for this role is $150,000.00 – $175,000.00. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive, providing the potential to earn more. Employees are required to be in the office on a scheduled frequency. Adherence to this schedule is essential to fulfilling the expectations of the role.
