The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Assessment Counselor/Social Worker to join our Same Day Access team in Columbus. The role involves assessing clients for appropriate levels of care, identifying trauma histories, and coordinating with families, referrals, and collaterals to support mental health needs.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, collaborating with treatment teams, and delivering focused interventions to engage clients and educate families about health and recovery.

Formación

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
• Active Ohio LSW, LPC, or MFT.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience as social worker or mental health professional preferred.
• Ability to assess risk and determine level of care.

• Assess clients for appropriate level of care, including behavioral examples, frequency, duration, severity, and environmental impacts.
• Identify history of trauma, adversity and/or toxic stress that influence presenting problems and family interaction.
• Determine the level of immediate and future risk of abuse or neglect to children.
• Participate as an active member of treatment teams, committees, and external groups.
• Use trauma-informed, focused interventions to engage clients and educate families about health and recovery.

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Assessment Counselor/Social Worker to join our Same Day Access team (SDA). The Assessment Counselor/Social Worker intervenes on behalf of clients and families to address environmental, financial, parental, etc. needs and accessing natural community supports. Completes diagnostic assessment and referral to address mental health/emotional needs of clients as well as their families. With help from The Buckeye Ranch, they’re empowered to overcome obstacles, tap into their resilience, and move forward toward healthy, fulfilling lives.Schedule Information: In office (Mon – Thurs), Remote (Friday)The Assessment Counselor/Social Worker will:Assess clients for appropriate level of care, including behavioral examples, including frequency, duration, severity, and environmental impacts.Identify history of trauma, adversity and/or toxic stress that influence presenting problem(s), functioning, and family interaction styles.Determine the level of immediate and future risk of abuse or neglect to children.Provides non-billable services as needed while conferring with collaterals and ensuring it is in the best interest of the client, case plan, and treatment plan as applicable.Participate as an active contributing member of treatment teams, departmental committees, and other Ranch and external working groups as assigned or appropriate.Uses trauma-informed, focused interventions to engage clients.
