Marathon Electric, part of the WEG Group, is seeking a General Assembly Technician for the Wausau, WI location. The role involves assembling large motors and generators to customer specifications with safety and quality as top priorities.

We’re looking for candidates with good hand-eye coordination, solid communication skills, and prior assembly experience in a manufacturing setting. Expect a 12-hour weekend shift (Friday–Sunday) from 5am to 5pm, with standard benefits and workplace teamwork in

• Ability to read and comprehend established procedures for safety, quality and general assembly.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
• Proven experience as an assembler in a general manufacturing setting desired.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Insert, connect, test, coil wind, and insulation cut.
• Perform assembly processes using hand tools and small power tools.
• Review work instructions and setup instructions; verify part numbers.
• Check parts and materials for correct usage; stage material kits as needed.
• Inspect for defects and document results; communicate deviations to lead.
• Complete all required paperwork for parts and processes.

Assemblers work in a team environment to set up work areas and assemble large motors and generators to customer specifications with Safety and Quality as top priorities.
