Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician II on 2nd shift (3:00 pm-11:30 pm) at the Orchard Park, NY facility. Responsibilities include assembling and testing aerospace hardware, developing test setups, and coordinating with the Production Supervisor to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, 2 years of related manufacturing experience, and the ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment.

• 2 years of manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience.
• Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
• Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including training and ERP data entry.
• Understand assembly and test requirements and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Perform low to moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions.
• Conduct product testing with test equipment per acceptance test documents.
• Follow quality requirements and non-conforming material processes and document findings.
• Communicate findings to team and generate non-conforming hardware documentation.
• Basic experience with ERP systems and Microsoft applications.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a A&T Technician II. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and is responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware. Development of hardware, creating functional test setups, working with various high pressure gases, and initiating engineering collaboration to successfully deliver quality aerospace components and systems. Technicians are Responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system.Job Responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.- Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines.- Posesses knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements. Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment.- Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions.- Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents.- Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation.- Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision.- Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.Qualifications:Basic QualificationsLive within 50 milesHigh School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experienceDemonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment.
