Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced assembler/test technician in Alabama to support quality and efficiency in aerospace manufacturing. You will assemble components per engineering specs and perform functional tests to verify compliance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives. 6+ years in aerospace assembly/testing preferred.

Job description

In this role, you will impact the overall quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process, helping to maintain Honeywell's reputation for delivering superior aerospace solutions to our customers worldwide.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Perform assembly of aerospace components and systems according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Conduct functional and performance testing on assembled products to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during assembly and testing, ensuring timely resolution to maintain production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly and test results in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years of experience in assembly and testing roles within aerospace or related manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace assembly processes, testing procedures, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, diagnostic tools, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with electronic and mechanical component assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing.

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field.
  • Experience working in aerospace manufacturing or similar high-reliability industries.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
