Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Assembly & Test Specialist for the 2nd and 3rd shifts at East Peoria, IL. The role involves assembling and testing prime product components, with training provided during 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities include repairing components, operating test machines, preparing products for shipping, and performing salvage operations as needed. Night shift premium applies; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience.
• A mechanical background or industrial assembly experiences.
• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assembling / testing, reworking and repairing machine components.
• Operate test machines to test final drive assemblies.
• Prepare prime products and attachments for shipping.
• Performs required salvage operations in assembly areas as necessary.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex assemblies to repair or replace damaged components.
• May operate remote control crane to specially equipped vehicles to transport prime product.
