Job summary

RTX is seeking an Assembly Technician in the United States to read blueprints and follow engineering drawings, assembling components to exact specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires standing for up to 10 hours, lifting up to 25 lbs, and willingness to travel for training as needed to support international operations.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
  • Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment to perform assembly tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of product in assigned workstations, ensuring materials are readily available for ongoing operations.
  • Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and accurately record identified defects for corrective action.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products based on engineering specification changes to meet quality standards.
  • Adhere to all quality standards and established safety procedures, ensuring compliance and a high standard of work.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, promoting efficiency and safety.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, ensuring safe material handling.
  • Work in a standing position for up to 10 hours per day, contributing to continuous workflow.
  • Be open to international travel for required training, expanding your expertise and ensuring operational excellence.

What You Will Do
