Job summary

Magna Seating is seeking an entry-level assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble mechanical components, read diagrams, and perform quality checks on a fast-paced line. The role requires lifting 25–50 lbs, standing for long periods, and adhering to safety practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, good hand-eye coordination, and effective teamwork skills. Training will be provided, with opportunities for growth within Magna Seating.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints.
  • Stand for long hours and lift 25–50 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and repetitive motion tolerance.
  • Effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools.
  • Rotate between tasks on the line.
  • Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams accurately.
  • Perform quality checks and identify defective parts.
  • Assist in plant duties such as parts inspection, inventory, cleanup, and minor equipment maintenance.
  • Report safety, quality, or production issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S).
  • Participate in continuous improvement and team-based problem solving.
  • Attend training sessions and complete required materials.
