Inframark is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician III to assemble and install industrial control panels for automated equipment. You will read blueprints, interpret wiring diagrams, and identify components while following established procedures.

This role requires mechanical and electrical expertise, including drilling, tapping, cutting, stripping, bending, and mounting wires within panels. The position emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role.
• Ability to distinguish wire colors for accurate wiring and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire control panels per blueprints, schematics and BOMs.
• Perform quality checks on assemblies and document inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and coworkers on progress and challenges.
• Support additional shop functions and overtime as needed.

Position Summary

Inframark is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician III to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and installing industrial control panels for automated equipment. You must be able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and identify components while following established assembly procedures.

This position requires mechanical and electrical expertise, including drilling, tapping holes, cutting, stripping, bending, and mounting wires to connect electrical units within panels.

Key Responsibilities

Control Panel Assembly & Wiring

• Follow detailed assembly instructions from blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and internal procedures.
• Layout enclosures and subpanels for assembly/cutouts based on project specifications.
• Identify and understand the functions of electrical components.
• Perform wiring connections using appropriate methods for the equipment being built.
• Drill, tap, cut, strip, and bend wires to ensure proper installation.

Quality Control & Process Improvement

• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain and update records related to tests and inspections conducted on products.
• Identify and report quality issues, process inefficiencies, or material concerns to the Production Lead, Supervisor, or Operations Manager.
• Resolve discrepancies to maintain panel integrity and accuracy.

Shop Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to align with best manufacturing practices.
• Ensure all assembly work adheres to safety regulations and operational guidelines.
• Assist in training new coworkers on job functions and procedures as needed.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning as part of a team.
• Maintain strong communication with supervisors, engineers, and coworkers regarding project progress and challenges.
• Provide customer support as needed via phone, email, or in person.

Other Duties

• Support additional shop functions as assigned within the scope of the position.
• May be required to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 5+ years of experience as an Assembly Technician or in a similar role
• Ability to distinguish wire colors for accurate wiring and assembly

Technical Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and standard work instructions
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong electro-mechanical skills, including soldering, proper wire stripping, and crimping techniques
• Basic knowledge of tools and instruments used in electrical assembly
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and a team player
• Ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams
