MBI in Lenoir, TN is seeking an Electrical Troubleshooting Lead to diagnose, repair, and prevent electrical issues on boat models throughout assembly. You will serve as the primary electrical technical resource on the production floor and partner with engineering to stay current with new models and systems.
You will train line operators, develop guidance and job aids, and ensure compliance with ABYC/NMMA standards while driving quality and uptime across manufacturing processes.

The Electrical Troubleshooting Lead is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and preventing electrical issues on all boat models throughout the assembly process. This role serves as the primary electrical technical resource on the production floor, supporting daily manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and minimizing downtime. The Lead will work closely with the engineering team to receive training on all new models and electrical systems, and will provide technical training and guidance to assembly-line operators.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with experience working with electrical systems. Two-year Vocational degree in electrical systems preferred. Boat operation experience preferred; experience with common hand tools preferred. Understanding of basic DC electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
