Job summary

Coastline Power Solutions in DeLand, FL is seeking an Assembly Technician I for an in-person, full-time role. You will assemble weatherproof sound attenuated enclosures for power generation systems, work with aluminum skins, doors, and installed hardware, and support safety and quality in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read drawings and specs, and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug test and have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read measurements
• Experience reading drawings, schematics, and specs
• Ability to work safely alone and with others in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install aluminum skins using mechanical fasteners and hand tools.
• Install doors and hardware on enclosures and secure generators on UL 142 tanks.
• Mount enclosures over generators and tanks and apply finishing trim.
• Install exhaust systems with appropriate tools and torque wrenches.
• Follow engineering plans and instructions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety rules.
• Perform additional duties as required by supervision.

Position Title: Assembly Technician I

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Deland, FL (In-Person)

Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Day shift (8 hours), M-F

Brief Description: We are looking for an assembly technician to work in a manufacturing setting at our Deland, FL location. Assembly technicians will assist in the assembly of weatherproof sound attenuated enclosures for power generation systems. Needed is a dependable individual who can multi-task with exceptional communication skills. This individual will need to be a team player. The ability to work safely alone and around others is essential to this position as well. If you are a detailed oriented self-starter who can take initiative and prioritize and you have the required skill set and knowledge we want you!

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install aluminum skins using mechanical fasteners and impact and hand tools.
• Install refrigerator type doors and hardware on enclosures.
• Secure generators on UL 142 aboveground fuel tanks.
• Secure assembled enclosures over generators and tanks and finishing trim.
• Install exhaust systems with impact and torque wrenches.
• Follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations, and maintain a safe and clean work area and tools.
• Various other duties as required, directed, or assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of proper use of hand tools, impact tools and torque wrenches, and the desire to learn. Ability to properly read and use tape measure.
• Prior fabrication experience a plus.
• Ability to work safely alone and around others.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills a plus.
• Possess strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service.
• Must pass drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical degree or certification a plus.
• Basic reading, math, and writing skills.
• Attention to detail and highly motivated.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Ability to work overtime on occasion.
• Possess appropriate tools to perform job duties.

Physical Requirements

• May frequently lift or move heavy weight material (ability to max lift 50 lbs without assistance) and work in difficult positions.
• Frequent mental and visual attention on an intermittent basis.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, push and pull, work at heights, and in small tight spaces.
• Requires working under somewhat disagreeable conditions on a frequent basis where elements such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, vibration, noise, water or chemicals may be present.
