Job summary

Columbia Machine Inc in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Assembly Technician 3A for daily assembly of automated machinery. You will work from blueprints and verbal instructions, handling pneumatic and hydraulic components and fastening with a variety of nuts, bolts and screws.

The role requires reading prints, electrical basics, and safe use of power tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–3 years in assembly preferred. Opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LEAN principles and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read hydraulic and/or pneumatic schematics.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and meters.
• Proficient at ECR changes (on-the-job training provided).
• Ability to read tape measurements within 1/16 inch and level.
• Identify SAE, Metric, and various fastener types.

Responsibilities

• Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to build assemblies.
• Mount and wire switches and terminal panels per prints.

• Drill and tap by hand or air as required for assembly.
