NATURAL GAS FUEL SYSTEMS LLC is seeking an Assembly Technician I to perform precise mechanical assembly of natural gas fuel systems in our Texas production environment. You will read orders and blueprints, assemble sub-assemblies and fittings, and ensure quality through inspection.

The role requires basic ERP skills and the ability to obtain a Texas Railroad Commission certification within 45 days of hire. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a preference for

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude a must.
  • Good time management and organizational skills required.
  • Familiarity with ERP software and basic computer skills expected.
  • Must obtain Texas Railroad Commission certification for CNG service and installation within 45 days of hire.
  • If required to drive, must possess a valid driver's license and insurability as per company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and material needed to complete assembly process.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies, structural parts and plumbing for fuel systems.
  • Follow all required steps in the assembly standard work process.
  • Inspect components for consistency and critical fits during assembly.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain tooling and equipment used in assembly.
  • Complete handwritten and electronic documentation for records and data in compliance with internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.

About this position

ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN 1SUMMARYThe Assembly Technician I is responsible for accurate and efficient mechanical assembly of natural gas fuel systems in the different production areas utilizing various material, parts, and sub-assemblies. Assembly will utilize a hands-on approach and usage of tooling and equipment.KEY OBJECTIVESOther duties beyond this representative listing may be assigned to the essential job duties and responsibilities of this position based on Company needs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSApply in-depth understanding of the flow of material, parts, and assemblies through the manufacturing and assembly process.Read work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and material needed to complete assembly process.Assemble sub-assemblies, structural parts and plumbing for fuel systems.Follow all required steps in the assembly standard work process.Inspect all components for consistency and critical fits during the assembly process.Check all assembly work to ensure a defective free assembly prior to final quality control inspection.Assembly activities will require operating, cleaning, and maintaining different pieces of tooling and equipment.Complete handwritten and electronic documentation for the records and data associated with assembly operations to ensure compliance with all internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.Support and execute Lean assembly activities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
