Job summary

Nightforce Optics in Orofino, ID, is seeking an Assembly Technician I to join our Production team. You will assemble rifle scopes and subassemblies, following established instructions, diagrams, and drawings to ensure premium quality.

You will learn multiple production roles, operate hand and power tools, report issues to leads, and uphold safety practices. This on-site role offers full benefits, a 4‑day work week, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Learn and gain proficiency in production positions ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive tasks including turrets, subassemblies, inspection, and final assembly.
• Assemble subassemblies and premium riflescopes by following instructions, diagrams, and drawings.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test products as directed by leads/management.
• Sort and count products or components before assembling or packaging.
• Review products for quality control to meet specifications per QC/engineering guidelines.
• Set up, arrange, and operate hand and/or power tools per supervisor instructions.
• Report discrepancies, damages, and errors to production leads.
• Comply with safety practices and company rules and policies.

Responsibilities

Nightforce Optics is growing, and we are looking for multiple Assembly Technician I to join our remarkable Production team. The Production Assembler is vital to the growth and success of Nightforce Optics by assembling our high-quality rifle scopes and optics.

Location: Orofino, ID

Shifts: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm; Tuesday-Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm

What you will be doing: Essential Job Duties

• Learns and gains proficiency in various positions within the production department ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive operations including turrets, subassemblies, inspection, and final assembly
• Manipulates and installs small parts and pieces to create subassemblies, premium riflescopes, and other optics by following established working instructions, diagrams, and drawings.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test product and subassemblies according to specific specifications as directed by leads and/or management
• Sort and count products or components before assembling or packaging
• Review products and components for quality control to ensure expectations and specifications are met in accordance with QC and engineering guidelines
• Set up, arrange, and operate hand and/or power tools per the specifications and instructions from supervisor
• Report and discrepancies, damages, and errors to production leads
• Comply with all safety practices and company rules and policies

Requirements

What we need from you: Required Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Solid work history in any industry will be considered
• Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, focus, and willingness and excitement to learn
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively and professionally in a team environment and the ability to work independently
• Must have good dexterity

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, with or without accommodation.
• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Must have the ability to sit or stand for 10 hours per day
• Must possess a high level of visual acuity, with or without correction
