Job summary

PE Labellers, a ProMach division, seeks an Assembly Technician to read electrical schematics and engineering prints, interpret ladder logic, and assemble complex electrical panels with precision. You’ll troubleshoot controls using meters and an oscilloscope, plan efficient assembly methods, and inspect sub-assemblies for accuracy.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 3–4 years of experience as an electrical panel assembler, with strong math and communication skills.

  • Read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, electrical schematics, manuals or instructions.
  • Ability to read Ladder Logic Wiring Schematics for panels.
  • Strong problem-solving to assemble precise electrical units per specs.

PE Labellers is seeking a talented Assembly Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for using a high degree of reading and interpreting electrical schematics, specifications/prints in a timely manner. The Assembly Technician must have problem-solving abilities to assemble and erect complex and precision electrical assemblies. Must have the ability to interpret, assemble and wire small to large electrical panels in an efficient and timely manner. This work is done independently with broad supervision, and reports to the Engineering Manager.

  • · Read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, electrical schematics, manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions to determine necessary assembly of machine.
  • · Able to read Ladder Logic Wiring Schematics
  • · Ability to position and layout components as shown on Engineering Prints/Specifications
  • · Troubleshoot electrical controls utilizing Multimeter, Amp meter, and/or oscilloscope.
  • · Plan assembly procedures and methods to assure efficient and timely progress.
  • · Assemble complex electrical units where a high degree of problem-solving and extreme care, skilled workmanship, and accuracy are required to meet strict inspection, testing and operating specifications.
  • · Use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • · Inspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions; check sub-assemblies and units.
  • · Strictly follow all safety requirements for hand and power tool operation, the assembly of parts, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping.
  • · Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.
  • · Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

  • · Able to read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, electrical schematics, manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions to determine necessary assembly of machines
  • · Able to read Ladder Logic Wiring Schematics
  • · Ability to position and layout components as shown on Engineering Prints/Specifications
  • · Ability to effectively troubleshoot electrical controls utilizing good knowledge of precision measuring procedures and experience with multimeters, amp meters, and or oscilloscope.
  • · Plan assembly procedures and methods to assure efficient and timely progress.
  • · Good math abilities which include knowledge of fraction principles, good dexterity and visual acuity.
  • · Excellent problem solving skills, skilled workmanship and accuracy to meet strict inspection, testing and operating specifications.
  • · Good verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal and organizational skills
