Job summary

ProMach – including the Lako brand – seeks an Assembly Technician to build precision mechanical assemblies and assist with testing. This role reports to the Supply Chain Director and requires reading engineering drawings, basic troubleshooting, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of machinery assembly experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift over 25 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • 3-4 years experience as machinery assembler.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and general arrangement drawings.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and basic electromechanical components using hand and power tools
  • Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and job travelers
  • Verify parts and materials prior to assembly and report discrepancies
  • Perform in‑process inspections to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met
  • Document completed work, quantities, and any rework or defects
  • Handle materials safely to prevent damage or scrap
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with safety standards
  • Identify and communicate quality or process issues to supervision
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting under supervision
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and company policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Lako is seeking a talented equipment/machine Assembler. A high degree of problem-solving ability is required to assemble complex and precision mechanical assemblies and complicated mechanisms to build a quality product. The machinery has critical dimensional specifications and operating relationships where fitting of components, calibration of operating units, alignment and/or balancing of completed assemblies requires the application of skilled mechanical principles and a broad knowledge of assembly techniques. The Assembly Technician assists with final inspection and testing of machinery to ensure equipment meets performance standards and requirements. The position reports to the Supply Chain Director.

Job Description
  • Assemble mechanical and basic electromechanical components using hand and power tools

Job Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent, Technical degree or training preferred
  • 3 to 4 years‘ experience as a machinery assembler
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle a multi‑tasked role and good organizational skills
  • Math abilities to include knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents. Basic understanding of Metric system measurements and conversion from inches/feet to mm/cm/m
  • Ability to use precision measuring procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and general arrangement drawings.
  • Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job
  • Ability to lift in excess of 25lbs

Base Salary Range: $15-$25 an hour.
