Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Help establish quality standards for manufactured products
  • Read blueprints and specifications to verify production requirements
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment and finished products
  • Use measuring tools such as micrometer screw gauges
  • Identify products that do not meet established quality standards
  • Recommend adjustments or changes to production processes when needed
  • Accept or reject finished products based on inspection results
  • Discuss inspection findings with the production team
  • Perform random inspections to evaluate product quality
  • Recommend strategies to improve product quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring an Assembly Quality Technician in West Point, Mississippi, to support product inspection, testing and quality control within a manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for measuring components, identifying defects and comparing finished products against drawings, specifications and established quality standards before they leave the production line.

Position Overview

The Assembly Quality Technician inspects materials, equipment and finished products to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.

This position requires strong attention to detail, blueprint reading skills and the ability to identify non-conforming products, communicate inspection results and support improvements to production quality.

Responsibilities
  • Help establish quality standards for manufactured products
  • Read blueprints and specifications to verify production requirements
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment and finished products
  • Use measuring tools such as micrometer screw gauges
  • Identify products that do not meet established quality standards
  • Recommend adjustments or changes to production processes when neededAccept or reject finished products based on inspection results
  • Discuss inspection findings with the production team
  • Perform random inspections to evaluate product quality
  • Recommend strategies to improve product quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
