TE Connectivity in California is seeking an Assembly Operator V to work with fiber optics. In this role, you will be responsible for optical connector and cable assembly, testing, and assisting in process development.

This opening is for an Assembly Operator V, using advanced skills to work directly with fiber optics. This person will be a key member of our team and will be responsible for optical connector and cable assembly, termination of various configurations of fiber optic cable assemblies, test station set up for various cable assemblies, advanced testing of cable assemblies, and will assist training new and existing employees. This individual will assist in process development and resolution of problems encountered in the process of bringing new optical products from concept to market. The position is expected to provide continuous improvement suggestions for the simplification of new products to reduce costs and increase overall manufacturing efficiency. The individual is to be a self-starter and have the ability to work well under schedule pressures and be able to balance workload as priorities change. Candidates need to have a strong work ethic with a desire to continually learn with a concentrated focus on serving the Customer. The ideal candidate works well in teams, has the desire to learn, possesses strong hand-eye coordination, and maintains the attention to detail needed to make quality products for our customers. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area, following safety guidelines and all TE Connectivity's policies and procedures.
This position offers a relocation stipend of $2,200. Bonus and retention award opportunities may be available based on the successful completion of required training milestones and continued good standing.
