Job summary

nVent is seeking candidates for an assembly line role to operate machinery and hand tools, perform quality inspections, and package finished goods. You will work in a fast-paced team, cross-train across assembly steps, and help maintain high standards.

Overtime may be required to support project goals and production needs. Preference is given to those with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior assembly line experience.

What You Will Experience in this position:
  • Operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools involved in highly repetitive and routine functions such as riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling.
  • Work in a repetitive, fast-paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes.
  • Install hardware with flawless precision.
  • Package finished goods for shipping, ensuring world-class standards.
  • Perform quality inspections/checks to maintain exceptionally high standards.
  • Cross-train in all assembly line steps for efficient team functionality and seamless operations.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Train new team members as needed.
You have:

Preference given to candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent experience. Previous experience on an assembly line is helpful but not strictly required. Effective interpersonal abilities to excel in a collaborative and ambitious work environment.

Availability to work overtime when required to successfully implement project goals.

Physical requirements:
  • Lift, push, pull objects up to 50 lbs. several times daily;
  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift for 8+ hour shifts;
  • Clear eyesight for visual inspection of parts;
  • Regularly lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
