Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Detroit, MI is seeking Assembly Operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Starting pay is $20.99 per hour with a 2nd shift differential of $1.00 and a 3rd shift differential of $0.60.

As an Assembly Operator you will run all assembly equipment safely, verify sign-off as a qualified associate, feed lines, perform quality checks, and complete necessary paperwork. A High School Diploma or GED is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Operates all assembly equipment and machinery safely at the required rate.
• Follow the cell qualification process to sign off as a qualified associate.
• Feed lines as required to maintain production flow.
• Ensure parts and components are assembled per SOP.
• Perform all required quality checks.
• Complete all relevant documentation (VE logs, 1st Piece Check, Reference Number log, scrap log, rework log).
• Perform changeover operations on all machines correctly.
• Perform first piece inspection.
• Sort and tag scrap/rework parts for designated area.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Perform any other duties as specified.

• 1 Operates all assembly equipment and machinery in a correct and safe manner at the required rate
• 2 Follows the cell qualification process to achieve sign-off as qualified associate
• 3 Line feeds as required
• 4 Ensure that parts and components are assembled in accordance with SOP
• 5 Perform all required quality checks
• 6 Completes all relevant documentation (i.e. VE logs, 1st Piece Check, Reference Number log, scrap log, rework log, etc.)
• 7 Performs all changeover operataions on all machines correctly
• 8 Perform first piece inspection
• 9 Separates, tags and places all scrap/rework parts in designated area
• 10 Ensure all housekeeping duties have been performed
• 11 Perform any rework required and completes all necessary documentation
• 12 Perform any other duties as specified
