Job summary

Wipro Givon USA is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembly Mechanic to assemble machined metal parts into assemblies and to train during first shift. The role requires reading aerospace blueprints, performing precision assembly, and verifying tolerances with micrometers and calipers.

Competitive pay with a $20–$30/hour DOE range plus shift differential, 4-day 10-hour shifts, and full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k with match, and life insurance. U.S. export controls apply.

Qualifications

• Reads aerospace blueprints and understands technical procedures.
• Performs basic math as required by work orders.
• Follows written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Uses hand tools to assemble and adjust parts.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods (10 hours).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders and drawings to determine parts and sequence.
• Prepare surfaces and clean parts for assembly.
• Apply adhesives, lubricants, sealants per instructions.
• Assemble parts using fasteners and hand tools.
• Operate drill presses, presses, or riveting machines as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Ensure quality, safety, and ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance.

Wipro Givon USA has an exciting new opportunity for a 2nd Shift Assembly Mechanic to join our team. This position assembles fabricated/machined metal parts and standards into partial or completed assemblies. Should be available to train during first shift hours.

Abilities - Are you a good fit:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business language, technical procedures, aerospace blueprints and drawings, manuals, governmental regulations, and safety procedures and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or listen.
• Must be able to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.

Job Duties and Responsibilities - What will you do daily:

• Reads and interprets written work orders and aerospace blueprints and drawings to determine parts requirements and sequence of assembly step.
• Cleans or otherwise prepares part surfaces for assembly.
• Applies and cleans excess adhesives, lubricants, sealants, and other substances as required by work order, drawing, and/or blueprint instructions to piece parts for assembly.
• Inserts rings, pins, and other standards and fastens parts together using nuts, bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
• Uses hammers, punches, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, rivet guns, and other hand tools to perform assembly operation.
• Installs bushings and bearings and uses hand tools to produce close fit between parts.
• Operates drill presses, presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
• Uses micrometers, force gauges, calipers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and other types of precision measuring tools and equipment. Reads measuring tools and interprets readings in performing assembly operations.
• Handles parts, subassemblies and assemblies with care to ensure those with finishes or special coatings are not damaged or blemished.
• Performs functional testing.
• Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Confers with supervisor when problems occur which impact expected levels of performance.
• Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Must contribute to a positive work environment.
• Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
