Bhamfast is seeking an Assembly Team Material Puller to support production by pulling, staging and delivering materials to assembly lines. You will ensure inventory accuracy and timely replenishment to meet schedules.

The role requires using ERP systems, RF scanners, and PC applications, with focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment in Birmingham, AL. Evening or weekend work may be required as duties demand.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Sit Down Lift Experience 1-3 years preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Job description

The Assembly Team Material Puller is responsible for product assembly and packaging operations, ensuring materials are accurately pulled, prepared and staged to meet production requirements.

Essential Functions/Duties
  • Monitor inventory levels for accuracy and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  • Ensure all supplies and components are available/ready for production use (e.g. assembling kits).
  • Utilization of the ERP system, including RF scanners and PC applications, to manager material movement and inventory transactions.
  • Pull, stage and deliver materials to assembly areas following established procedures.
  • Support assembly and packaging tasks as required to meet production schedules.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage heavy workloads to support critical company functions.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and during challenging situations.
Physical/Cognitive Demands

This is largely a physically active role including walking long distances (over uneven surfaces) to/within our production facility, lifting 50lbs or more, and standing for long periods. Position also requires bending, stooping, squatting or standing as necessary.Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
