Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Company is offering a co-op-like work term for engineering students in the United States. You will engage in hands-on activities, contribute to process improvements, and have opportunities to implement your own ideas within a dynamic team.

Roles include ensuring timely ATG processes, engaging with supplier quality, and developing analytical dashboards using Power BI and SQL. The term runs January 11th to May 14th, 2027, requiring full-time on-site commitment.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (preferably Industrial or Mechanical) required.
  • Microsoft Excel experience with VLOOKUP, Macros, etc. preferred.
  • Must be an enrolled student at a US accredited four-year college or university.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript and complete substance abuse test before work term.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates changes or issues to management and collaborates to resolve.
  • Ensures cars pass through the ATG process on time.
  • Leads supplier quality representatives when issues affect product quality.
  • Performs tactical decisions for urgent issues.
  • Manages support groups in problem solving and prevention.
  • Performs strategic management for anticipating change.
  • Ensures department goals are consistently met.
  • Develops Power BI and quality analytics; uses SQL.

  • Communicates to management any changes or issues that may impact department or company performance and collaborates with management to achieve resolution.
  • Ensuring cars get through the whole ATG process on time
  • Drives and steers supplier quality representatives when issues negatively impact product quality.

  • Maintains continuous improvement in regard to all measurable

  • Create process sheets for high speed test track facility

Qualifications
  • Engineering degree (preferably Industrial or Mechanical)
  • Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, etc. preferred)

  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th - May 14th, 2027.
  • Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
