Summit Products is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Lead to oversee our Assembly operations in Altoona, IA. The role focuses on supervising a team, ensuring products meet quality standards, and interpreting blueprints for accurate assembly.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing leadership, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with tools and machinery. This on-site position emphasizes safety, collaboration with engineering and supply chain, and ongoing staff

Qualifications

• Minimum experience leading or supervising a manufacturing/assembly team.
• Strong understanding of assembly processes and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Assembly Operations: supervise and mentor a team to ensure accurate, efficient production.
• Quality Assurance: implement and monitor QC measures to meet standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation: read blueprints to guide assembly.
• Tool Proficiency: use hand tools safely and train others.
• Process Improvement: identify and implement productivity and waste-reduction improvements.
• Collaboration: coordinate with engineering and supply chain on schedules and material needs.
• Safety Compliance: uphold safety regulations and promote best practices.
• Training and Development: train new and existing staff.
