Job summary

Job description

The Assembly & Materials Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily assembly operations while ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process. This position oversees assembly personnel, manages workflow and labor utilization, and ensures materials are available, properly staged, and moved efficiently to support production schedules. The supervisor works closely with Production, Purchasing, Project Management, Shipping, and Quality teams to maintain operational efficiency, minimize production disruptions, and support on-time delivery performance.

A hands-on manufacturing leader with strong experience supervising assembly operations, coordinating material flow, and managing labor and workflow. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and collaborative, with a focus on keeping production moving efficiently, minimizing disruptions, and meeting quality and on-time delivery goals.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience coordinating material flow, production support, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, bills of materials, work orders, and assembly instructions/drawings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in machining, metal fabrication, industrial equipment, or assembly manufacturing environments.
• Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma training.
• Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP platforms.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
