Job summary

ICM Corporation is seeking an assembler to operate within our sister company United Visual Products. The position offers Part-Time or Full-Time hours with flexible scheduling and growth opportunities, based in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities include preparing work from instructions, assembling boards and signs, verifying fits, maintaining safety, and documenting production actions. Requirements include manufacturing experience, proficiency with tools and instrumentation, and a Spanish-speaking

Qualifications

ICM Corporation is looking for an assembler to work within our sister company, United Visual Products. This is a Part-Time/Full-Time position with flexible hours and opportunities for growth.

United Visual Products (http://www.uvpinc.com/) is a major manufacturer of visual communication boards and signs for churches, schools, businesses, institutions, and much more. United Visual Products sells bulletin boards, letter-boards, dry erase boards, easels, sign pedestals, open/closed signs, and much more.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • The assembly of various products to include: bulletin boards, letter-boards, dry erase boards, easels, sign pedestals, open/closed signs, and more.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
