PAY RANGE
$20 – $24 per hour – DOE
POSITION SUMMARY
Assemblers will drill, deburr, and assemble sheet‑metal components, installing ground studs, nutplates, or bonding components while supporting quality, safety, and on‑time delivery.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work from process specifications, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and engineering orders.
- Interpret documents to determine sequence and methods for assembling and repairing sheet‑metal products.
- Pull parts from bin and report shortages to supervisor.
- Work with various gauges/types of aluminum sheet metal according to specifications.
- Clean components, load onto jig or fixture, drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect parts.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces.
- Call for inspection and rework engineering to eliminate non‑conformance.
- Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- High‑school diploma or equivalency preferred; candidates without will take a pre‑employment assessment.
- At least 2 years of sheet‑metal assembly experience; prior aircraft experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for following work instructions and assembling parts.
- Effective communication with team members.
- Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices is a plus.
- Skilled with a variety of small hand tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Noise exposure from quiet to extremely loud.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (eye, ear, foot protection).
- May occasionally lift or move 10–50 pounds.
