Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an assembler to mass-produce windows, doors, trusses, and related components on an assembly line. You will perform repetitive tasks, operate hand and power tools, and move between stations to meet production goals.

Safety and quality are essential; standard PPE is required. Overtime may be necessary to support business needs, with no supervisory duties involved.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble building windows, doors, and glass components on the line.
• Perform insertion, positioning, clamping, and fitting of parts using hand and power tools.
• Work at multiple stations as production needs dictate.
• Remove defective products and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Ability to work overtime as required by business needs.
• No supervisory responsibilities.

PURPOSE

Performs assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under direct supervision, performs one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly or sub-assembly line to produce building material components windows and glass products:

• Assembles building windows, or glass.
• Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and uses of both hand and power tools.
• Works at different work stations as production needs require.
• Removes defective products as needed, leans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures
• Ability to work overtime as business needs requires, other duties as assigned.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
