Job summary

Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Corp. in Elmhurst, IL is seeking an Assembler responsible for assembling valve components and subassemblies using specified techniques. The role includes valve and accessory testing as required by specifications.

You will perform related paperwork, maintain clean work areas, and follow all safety and quality procedures to ensure production standards are met. A HS diploma and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

The Assembler is primarily responsible for the assembly of several different water valves components using the appropriate assembly techniques with additional responsibility in secondary equipment/operations.

Responsibilities

• Assembles Valves and subassemblies per work instructions.
• Test Valves per work instructions.
• Test accessories (motor actuators, cylinders, etc) as required by specification or special instructions.
• Perform necessary paperwork (labor tickets, inspection sheets, etc)
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements.
• Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
• Responsible for notifying a Production Lead or Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Reports all production waste/issues to Production Lead or Supervisor
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
