Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking an experienced mechanical/electrical assembly professional for manufacturing roles in San Jose. You will perform diverse assembly tasks, wiring, and quality control on mechanical subsystems, following detailed drawings and engineering instructions to ensure precise build quality.

The role requires 2+ years in mechanical assembly, dexterity with hand and power tools, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or related field.
• Manual dexterity with hand and power tools.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to communicate and follow manufacturing instructions in English.
• Be able to lift 20-45 pounds and work weekends/overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of ISO standards or other industry certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Must have at least 2-4 years of experience and knowledge of electronic sub assemblies & system integration.
• Responsible for assembly, and quality control of mechanical components and systems.
• Follow detailed engineering instructions, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of mechanical parts and equipment.
• Use handtools and power tools to assemble units.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, results, ensuring proper documentation of work.
• Track and maintain parts, tools, and equipment inventory, ensuring materials are stocked for continuous production.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and maintain a clear and organized workplace.
• Knowledge of ISO standards or other industry certifications is a PLUS.

Job Purpose

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Nature of Duties / Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate and follow the manufacturing process instruction in English.
• Previous knowledge (one + year) of electronic sub assemblies & system integration.
• Be able to lift up to 20-45 pounds.
• Be able to work during weekends & flexibility time if needed.
