Job summary

Trek Bikes Fort Wayne is hiring an Assembler - Part Time at our Fort Wayne store. The role focuses on assembling bicycles and maintaining quality to support the sales staff. You will learn Trek POS procedures, work with Service Managers to create high-quality builds, and complete daily task lists.

When not with customers, you’ll pre-assemble bikes and prep them for service by technicians. A positive, flexible attitude and eagerness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in bicycle assembly.
• Ability to learn Trek U modules and POS procedures.
• Team-oriented in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to adapt to daily tasks and department assignments.

Responsibilities

• Learn the proper Point of Sale practices that relate to bicycle building.
• Work with Service Managers to develop quality bicycle builds and expectations.
• Efficiently complete daily work schedules and tasks.
• Assemble, or pre-assemble, new bicycles; prep customer bikes for service by our Service or Production Technicians.

As new bicycles arrive at the store, the builder would be responsible for maintaining assembly schedules and quality inspections.
