Honeywell Aerospace in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced microelectronic assembler to join our production team. You will ensure components are assembled to exact specifications with precision under a microscope, contributing to high-quality aerospace products.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years prior work experience in microelectronic, RF, hybrid and/or semiconductor assembly.
• Minimum of 2 years of soldering experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of assembly experience.
• Be able to handle devices and small components using tweezers under a microscope.
• Basic computer skills for defect documentation and time charging.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• This position requires US export law compliance; candidate must be a US Person.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
• Work under a microscope for extended periods to handle components.
• Setup, calibrate, and maintain equipment; assist with preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with Process and Quality Engineering to resolve procedure challenges.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support daily production goals.
• Communicate in English and read work instructions; MIL-STD knowledge preferred.

Job description

You will work with a team of skilled professionals to produce high-quality products that meet our customers' needs. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be critical in maintaining the high standards of our production processes.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our production line, ensuring that our products are assembled correctly and meet all specifications. Your work will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations and help us deliver top-notch products to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proficiency in at least three of the following skills: wire bonding, gap welding, eutectic die attach, epoxy attach. Be able to handle devices, and other small components using tweezers under a microscope.
• Work independently, take ownership for your quality and actively learn to make continual improvements.
• Participate in meetings, make suggestions and work with your team to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Ability to work under a microscope 8 hours per day.
• Effectively communicate in English and read work instructions. Knowledge of MIL-STD criteria preferred.
• Performs equipment set-up and calibration and may perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with Process and Quality Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve procedure specification challenges.

Day (start 5-7am) or swing shift (start 3:30pm)

Pay Transparency

The hourly pay range for this position is $28.91- $37.02/hr. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
