Colonial Group is seeking an Assembler Lead to supervise mass production of windows, doors, trusses, panels or stairs. You will train team members, assign tasks, and monitor throughput to ensure on-time quality results across shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in component assembly or related carpentry/manufacturing, with strong safety awareness and the ability to adapt to changing models and multiple workstations. This role emphasizes teamwork and dependable work habits.

  • Works with varying models of product and shifts to meet production needs.
  • Places parts in correct relationships and fastens components together.
  • Removes defective products and tends machines for fastening operations.
  • Works at different workstations as production demands change.
  • Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.

Job description

PURPOSE

The Assembler Lead performs repetitive assembly operations, trains and provides work direction to the assembly team to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and assigns work tasks among assembly team in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related production goals.
  • Performs job tracking and reporting, overseeing the efficiency and output of assembler team.
  • Trains new assembler employees in the tasks required for component assembly work, including actual assembly techniques, use of tools and machinery, and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Works in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced.
  • Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
  • Removes defective products as needed.
  • Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership to workflow, however, this job has no official supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
