Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking an Assembler II - Sub Assembly Refrigeration to join our Operations team in Iowa. The role focuses on preparing coils, leak checks, nitrogen charging, and assembling refrigeration components per specifications.

Responsibilities include reading BOMs and blueprints, cutting and brazing tubing, performing pre-start checks, and using measuring tools and dielectric/voltage testers. The position is full-time, on-site, and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
• Identify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itself
• Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine locations, size, capacity, and type of components
• Cut, bend, and braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines
• Remove air from system and charges system with specified amount and type of refrigerant
• Conduct pre-startup to check all equipment
• Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
• Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information
• Utilize information given on material gauging and dimensioning
• Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
• Utilize electrical testing equipment like dielectric testing or voltage meters
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

Sub Assembly Refrigeration works as part of a team having responsibility for assembling different components of product lines. Sub Assembly Refrigeration is responsible for preparing the coil(s) as described in the job text, leak checks, filling the coil with nitrogen and placing the pressure plates on the coil(s).

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

• Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
• Identify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itself
• Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine locations, size, capacity, and type of components, such as compressor, condenser, expansion valves and tubing or piping needed to build equipment
• Cut, bend, and braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines or refrigeration systems
• Remove air from system and charges system with specified amount and type of refrigerant
• Conduct pre-startup to check all equipment
• Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
• Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
• Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information, like bill of materials
