Aerotek in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an Assembler II to perform complex mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, following blueprints to build high-quality units.

This contract-to-hire role supports wiring harnesses, lifting 50–60 lbs, and maintaining safety and cleanliness on the production line. Shift is 1st shift, 6am to 2:30pm; pay is $24/hr.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of assembly experience, ability to read drawings, and strong attention to detail.

Job Description

The Assembler II performs complex mechanical assembly work using hand and power tools, following blueprints and work instructions to build high-quality units. This role involves assembling mechanical components and wire harnesses, handling moderately heavy parts, and contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the production line.

1st shift - 6am to 2:30pm

$24/hr

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform precise assembly tasks, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure fastening of parts.
• Build and route wire harnesses as required, ensuring correct connections and neat, organized layouts.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and completeness, and identify any defects or inconsistencies.
• Handle and move units weighing approximately 50–60 lbs, including units as large as a small refrigerator, using safe lifting techniques.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve assembly issues.
• Document work performed as required and communicate any issues or improvements related to the assembly process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
