Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Assembler III for our Griffin, Georgia facility. This role will assemble and inspect components, train teammates, and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety standards.

You will participate in final assembly, documentation, and product presentation prior to shipment. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and work effectively within a team in a heavy‑duty manufacturing setting.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an Assembler III responsible for preparing and assembling the product at our Griffin, Georgia facility. This individual will be responsible for training, mentoring and assessing other assemblers while exhibiting the highest level of execution and behavior expected of EPD employees.

What You Will Do
  • Prepare components for assembly.
  • Assemble parts according to work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), blueprints, risk assessments, and job routers.
  • Assemble high‑quality products while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe working environment.
  • Train and support team members in assembly processes and procedures.
  • Perform final assembly, inspection, and finishing activities, including cleaning, panel installation, labeling, and product presentation preparation prior to shipment.
  • Complete required product documentation and verify all parts, quality inspections, and shipping requirements have been satisfied before release.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross‑functional partners.
What You Will Have
  • Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing and heavy‑duty assembly environment.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform physical job requirements that include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for extended periods of time.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Prior experience in equipment and/or heavy‑duty assembly.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Power vehicle experience and certifications.
  • Experience working in a quality‑focused manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to occasionally lift parts up to 25 lbs. individually.
  • The ability to bend, reach, and squat while performing tasks.
  • The ability to wear required personal protective equipment for assigned tasks.
  • The ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
  • The ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing tasks.

Additional Information

1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30am – 5:00pm Paid overtime may be required based on business needs (may include weekends/holidays)

Summary Pay Range: $19.89 - $25.15

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
