Assembler II
Job Description: Assembler II will perform the job duties listed for Assembler I but has additional training and duties listed in Essential Job Functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Capable on‑the‑job trainer for machines and assembly cells
- Trained as backup for Area Lead
- Trained as backup for Material Handler
- Maintains housekeeping standards at all times
- Performs sanding, polishing, cleaning, assembly and packing job tasks as assigned
- Flexible to work on all packing/assembly operations including but not limited to Camshelving, Bus Box, Coldfest, all structural web items, and Dishrack
- Operates necessary assembly equipment with proper training
- Reads and follows the assembly schedule, writes tickets, and makes labels
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including punctuality and dependability to meet the needs of the department and the organization
- Executes each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform the job successfully
- Follows all safety procedures, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions
- Performs effectively as a team member, works well with others, is open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect
- Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects
- Follows all department quality standards/criteria
- Raises concerns and issues to immediate manager
- Understands and demonstrates Cambro company culture, displays company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service)
- Understands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team
- Completes other duties as needed or required
Additional Responsibilities
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes to meet business needs
Required Qualifications
- Applicable work experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be a good team player, self‑motivated, and open‑minded
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, meet and maintain high quality work standards, and adapt quickly to new projects/assignments
- Must be able to work any shift as needed

Compensation
Salary may vary based on experience. Compensation range: $18.58 – $18.58.
