Job summary

INFICON AG is seeking an detail-oriented Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Longmont, CO. You will hands-on assemble electronic controller units from drawings and work orders, ensuring precision and high quality.

You will also program PCBs, load firmware, test circuits, and identify defects, contributing to reliable final products. This role requires basic soldering, tooling, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training in electronics, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience assembling electronic components, circuit boards, or electronic controller units preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of soldering techniques and experience using hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Familiarity with PCBs, firmware loading, software configurations, and electronic testing.
  • Experience using a multimeter and other basic electronic testing equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual, structural, and functional defects.
  • Ability to accurately document test results and communicate production issues to supervisors.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform detailed assembly work.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards consistently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and technologies.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on assembly of complex electronic controller units and various sub-assemblies. You will work from technical drawings, work instructions, and work orders to ensure all components are put together perfectly. Your precision directly impacts the quality and reliability of our final products.

Beyond basic assembly, you will play a crucial role in our quality control and device configuration processes. This involves utilizing specialized software to program printed circuit boards (PCBs) and conducting rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance. You will be expected to identify defects, troubleshoot basic electronic issues, and maintain high standards of accuracy throughout the production cycle.

Additional Information

For Longmont, the expected hourly wage for this position is $22–$23.50.The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule).
