Job summary

Konami Gaming, Inc. is seeking an Assembler II to join our production team. You will assemble, modify, and repair machines and sub-assemblies, following work orders, blueprints, and schematics.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include assembling and disassembling units, training new hires, and maintaining high quality standards while following OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or Mechanical certification required.
  • Minimum of two years in a mechanical/technical manufacturing role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in written and spoken English.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).
  • Proficiency with hand tools and basic measuring devices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts for game machines following work orders and blueprints.
  • Disassemble and modify machines or sub-assemblies as directed.
  • Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation and properly store tools.
  • Assist with loading/unloading machines for transport.
  • Maintain quality and productivity standards and report discrepancies.

Job description

Konami Gaming is looking for an Assembler II to join our team! This position is responsible for working independently at a bench or on the shop floor, with only minimal general direction. This includes assembling, disassembling, modifying, and repairing machines and/or various component parts and sub-assemblies for all products.

What you'll be doing:
  • Positions and assembles parts for game machines by following work orders, reading blueprints and schematics, sample visual aids or knowledge of units being assembled.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips or other fasteners using hand and/or power tools or specialized equipment.
  • Disassembles (partially or completely) game machines and/or various assemblies or component parts for all products.
  • Makes modifications or repairs as directed or indicted by state of configuration of machines and/or assemblies or component parts, using hand and/or power tools and specialized equipment.
  • Set up or takes down workstation daily or as required making sure area is clean, and organized tools stored, power tools charging, floor swept, and debris disposed of in appropriate location.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of machines to and from transportation carriers.
  • Communicates problems and concerns, method improvements, product or specification change recommendations and work status to management personnel.
  • Maintains expected output quantity/productivity of production line.
  • Maintains a high standard of quality.
  • Meets and exceeds timing standards.
  • Quality representation above 90%.
  • Assists with training new hires in best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Skilled in Sub-Assembly and clone build.
  • Reports to Production Supervisor and/or Lead on duty any discrepancies or problems requiring resolution.
  • Participates in company health and safety programs while complying with all OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Always comply with the company’s regulatory guidelines and corporate policies.
  • Follows all lawful employer safety and health rules.
  • Reports hazardous conditions to Production Supervisor or Lead on duty at the time of incident.
  • Report any job-related injury or illness to management and seek treatment promptly.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding the company, products, and employee information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What we’ll want you to have:
  • High School Diploma or GED /Mechanical certification is required.
  • A minimum of two years plus of working experience in a mechanical or technical manufacturing role is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, multiple product types/key assemblies, including trouble shooting, within time and quality standards.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written with all levels of the business.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).
  • Data entry software; Case wrenches; Gear wrenches; Input wrenches; Spline wrenches.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
Work Environment
  • Full-time / 40+ hours per week. Must be flexible to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must be comfortable working in an area with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at computer terminal for extended periods of time. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Must be able to work at assigned location to enable direct communications and interactions with team members, management, and others as necessary, unless traveling for a business-related purpose.
  • Must be comfortable working on a concrete floor and warehouse environment. Must have the ability to move fast and function quickly on a daily basis. Position can be high stress and extremely fast paced. Ability to handle directives, assess situations, enter into dialogue and complete tasks. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, use hands, use and operate hand tools, ability to read and follow blueprints, manuals, and standing, bending stooping for long periods. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to sit, stand, use hands, operate hand tools, have a specific vision push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and stack. Must be able to listen and respond to verbal and written directions in English. May be required to move machines weighing up to 300 pounds with hand truck assistance.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, paying attention to detail, and meeting assigned deadlines. Demonstrates high integrity, trust, and strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain excellent communication and a positive, respectful, and professional attitude and relationship with clients, employees, peers, co-workers, all levels of management, and all outside organizations conducting business or otherwise interacting with the company. Ability to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
