Job summary

Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions is seeking an experienced assembler to join our manufacturing team in Alabama. You will follow established procedures, read schematics and blueprints, and use hand tools to assemble components and fixtures to exact specifications.

Responsibilities include quality testing, troubleshooting basic issues, maintaining clean work areas, and cross-training for other product lines.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • General assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established assembly procedures to ensure quality production.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to assemble components.
  • Use hand and small power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills, to assemble components.
  • Assemble components, fixtures, and accessories according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Perform final assembly of components, fixtures, and accessories.
  • Use various measuring and testing devices, such as multimeters and megohmmeter, to ensure quality and accuracy of assemblies.
  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to assembly, such as fitting and alignment problems.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines in the assembly process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Cross-train to support other product lines as needed.
