Clear Destination Inc. is seeking an entry-level Home Building Team Member - Assembler I to join our manufacturing operations.

You will perform essential production tasks across floors, walls, electrical layouts, and finishing work while following standard methods and safe practices. In this role you will collaborate with teams to meet quality and productivity targets, assist with planning in your area, and adapt to multiple departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Construction or Warehouse experience a plus, but not required.
  • Willing to transfer into various departments when necessary.
  • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.
  • Skilled in the operation and control of hand tools (tape measure, hammer, utility knife, etc.)
  • Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing OSHA regulations.
  • Work in a team environment to produce products that meet quality standards and productivity goals.
  • Serve as a good steward of company assets, keeping areas clean and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Assist Supervisors to plan and organize manufacturing activities and communicate shortages or quality issues.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Job description

PURPOSE

The Home Building Team Member - Assembler I is an entry-level position that performs the manufacturing production operations assigned to each department in the home building process. The position follows standard production methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Positions include:
  • Frame, layout and build floors
  • Prepare, layout and build walls
  • Layout, run and install electrical lines, switches, receptacles and panels/breaker boxes
  • Install and prepare dry for finish tape, mud and texture
  • Complete roof construction, decking, flashing and shingling
  • Cabinet and or finish carpentry and trim, build and installation
  • Installation of siding, windows and doors
  • Painting of interior and exterior of homes
  • Cooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations, at all times
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
  • Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.
  • Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
  • Assist Supervisors and Forepersons to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Overtime work is involved.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Will be required to wear ear plugs for noise protection as well as eye protection and other personal protective equipment required by the location.
