Are you someone who is driven to make a real impact by following established processes for assembling high-quality Vermeer equipment? In this role, you will follow digital instructions to perform various skills and tasks, working with a team to ensure high-quality work that meets our customers' needs. We are looking for a dedicated team player to build machines for customers worldwide.

What You’ll Do

  1. Follow provided job instructions to assemble equipment and subassemblies according to Vermeer’s quality standards.
  2. Align components and bolts, then fasten them according to torque specifications, install moving parts, and test to ensure proper movement.
  3. Inspect painted parts to ensure quality.
  4. Apply decals, logos, safety warnings, and attach doors, panels, or machine guards as needed.
  5. Calculate figures and perform basic mathematical functions, including fractions and decimals.
  6. Support workplace organization goals (5S) and suggest improvements to enhance departmental performance.

  • Ability to complete Vermeer Assembly Training.
  • Ability to complete a set number of tasks within a specified time repeatedly.
  • Consistently meet quality expectations.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across the organization.

No travel is expected for this position.

Essential Functions

  • Standing: Continuously
  • Sitting: Occasionally
  • Walking: Frequently
  • Hand Coordination: At least average/bilateral
  • Twisting: Occasionally (up to 2 minutes)
  • Bending - Trunk: Occasionally (up to 2 minutes)
  • Bending - Neck: Occasionally (up to 15° flex for 2 minutes)
  • Elevated Work/Reach: Occasionally (up to 2 minutes)
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Occasionally (up to 2 minutes)
  • Climbing: Occasionally
  • Pulling: Rarely (up to 70 lbs), occasionally (up to 50 lbs), frequently (up to 20 lbs), continuously (up to 10 lbs)
  • Pushing: Same as pulling
  • Grip and Pinch: Varying weights and durations as specified
  • Liftings: Floor to waist, horizontal, waist to crown with specified weights and frequencies

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s daily work is primarily on a Vermeer campus. Offsite work may be discussed with your manager if applicable.
