Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role emphasizes accuracy, part security, and reliable supplies for operations.

You will maintain a safe, organized work area, follow prescribed assembly instructions, and support quality control by checking materials and finished products against standards. Training will be provided, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Approximately 6 months of manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Set up work area before starting new tasks.
  • Fit parts together according to instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Stack and package finished products as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspections and report issues.
  • Maintain production records as required.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality and compliance.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures and participate in programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
