Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an Assembler I for the 2nd shift in Sumner, WA. You will work on a moving line or bench, completing finish assembly of aerospace composite products according to takt time.

The role requires fine motor skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. The position offers full-time hours with benefits and potential for overtime in a manufacturing setting.

Pay:$24.25 - $28.25/hour, full time non-exempt

Schedule:3:30 pm – 2 am, Monday – Thursday

Position

The Assembler works according to takt time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products.

Duties

• Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
• Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
• Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
• May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.

Experience

• One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Working Conditions

• While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.
• Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature-controlled.
• Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
• Exposure to hazardous equipment.
• Exposure to contaminants.
• Shared workspaces with other employees.
• Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
• Standing and/ or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift and overtime).

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

• Full Face Shield
• Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
• Protective Apron
