Job summary

FRALOCK is seeking an Assembler Level I for onsite work in a Class 7 clean room. Responsibilities include assembling components according to instructions, packaging, and cross-training across stations to support production schedules. The role requires strong attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to work efficiently in a high‑quality manufacturing setting.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and standing 6–8 hours.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, or 0-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Attention to detail and ability to count accurately.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Able to sit/stand for 6–8 hours and perform repetitive assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components accurately following detailed work instructions and specifications.
  • Perform basic packaging including labeling, sealing, and counting.
  • Cross-train across multiple workstations to support production.
  • Verify correct parts before starting assembly and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a Class 7 clean room.

Job Summary

The Assembler Level I is responsible for performing assembly and packaging operations in a Clean Room Class 7 environment. This role focuses on producing high-quality products safely, efficiently, and on schedule while meeting both internal and external customer requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify quality issues, and flexibility to support multiple functions through cross-training.

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

  • Assembly of components accurately and efficiently according to detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform basic packaging operations including bundling, wrapping, heat‑sealing, vacuum sealing, labeling, counting, visual inspecting, assembly, and cleaning.
  • Cross‑train and rotate across multiple workstations to support production needs and efficiency.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with Supervisors, Production Leads, and peers to support department goals.
  • Verify correct parts and materials before beginning assembly operations.
  • Remove defective materials and report any part, tooling, or equipment issues to supervision promptly.
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures, including PPE requirements.
  • Conduct work in a Clean Room Class 7 environment, following all gowning and contamination control requirements.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area using safety standards and expectations
  • Other duties as needed or assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills
  • Ability to deal with and solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to sort, inspect, and compare products for accuracy and quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to count accurately.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Inspect parts and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Ability to safely handle cleaning agents such as alcohol solvents following procedures.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to achieve results in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Prior experience using hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
  • Blueprint reading experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
  • Strong multitasking and problem‑solving abilities.
Education Requirements
  • High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 0-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands for handling small components and tools.
  • Ability to perform similar operations and tasks for 6‑8 hours.
  • Ability to sit and stand for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to perform visual inspection to perform close‑up inspection tasks for 4 to 6 hours.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed indoors in environmentally controlled and cleanroom environments.
  • Required use of PPE including smocks, gloves, hairnets/full face covers, shoe covers, and safety‑toed footwear.
